SUMMER SEASON FEES
As
you would be aware, the expenses
in running your household continue to grow and unfortunately, so
are the expenses in
running our club.
Our training costs at the Community Centre have risen some 50% over the
past 2.5 years and team registration fees and weekly team sheet fees have been
steadily increasing.
Despite
all of this, we’ve decided to keep the fees for next season for most children,
the same as they were this season.
Unfortunately, Dandenong U9’s and U10’s fees have had to go up $20.00,
due to Dandenong Basketball
Association introducing team sheet payments of $9.00 per week per
team. With the continuing growth in our
expenses, we ask that everyone please pay any fees that are still outstanding and
to please pay their summer season fees by the following due dates :-
1st installment
of $65.00 by 31.08.02
2nd installment
of $50.00 by 12.10.02
Dandenong U9’s &10’s are $40.00 per
installment, due by the same dates.

A MESSAGE REGARDING
UPDATING TEAM LISTS
We have had a number of
players who remain on the team lists given credit for a game where the player
and club have argued it is a scorer's error.
In these particular cases the extra game was their third and they were then
unable to play for their original
team.
There is nothing we can do if this
happens as the score sheet will
always be taken as proof.
The team manager should assist the team's cause by striking out the name
of any player who is not going to be a member of that team to remove the
chance that a scorer might
inadvertantly tick the
wrong player.
Many thanks
to
all
those who attended
the
assessment nights
held
last month.
Although
there were
many
players in attendance
of
varying abilities, it provided invaluable information for
the
co-ordinators to assess
the children’s development,
progress
and skills.
We
would like to thank all those who helped on the eveinings.
COACHES
We
would like all those coaching Under 11 and 12 teams to submit a BRIEF report
for publication in the next newsletter.
Also, those
coaches whose teams
have made the finals at
Dandenong, please let us know how your teams have progressed.
Please
forward these reports to your coaching director by the end of September for
inclusion in the October edition.
